The chewing of solid materials profit the squirrel keeps one's teeth a particular size. Squirrels collect food year-round, however they will be more active of their food collecting process inside the fall just before winter months. This is done as a measure to have food available within the winter when the meals are not as an easy task to get. The squirrel will bury the foodstuff and come to it after winter months hibernation period is finished. The food stored will most likely last for very long enough to hold the squirrel until new food sources are located.
