A lot of the times you will find chewed up wires or holes in the walls which have been created by squirrels; the reason being that squirrels have teeth which grow their lives. The chewing of solid materials profit the squirrel keeps the teeth a certain size. A squirrel's diet is not just nuts and food that humans dump. Their diet is full of various things for example tree barks, roots, acorns, leaves and in many cases some small insects. Some squirrels cannot breakdown foods like cellulose meaning that they are able to ignore tree bark being a source of food altogether.

Squirrels collect food year-round, however they may well be more active in their food collecting process inside fall right before the winter months. This is done as a measure to have food available inside the winter when the food is much less simple to get. The squirrel will bury the meals and are avalable back to it after winter months hibernation period has ended. The food stored will often go far enough to maintain the squirrel until new food sources are found.
